"Take Care of It", Welded steel public sculpture, Awassa

Welding at night with a bonfire as our work lamp, we completed this giant project in less than 15 days. The sculpture represents man, woman, and child holding up the sun and is inspired by the stacking acrobatics of the Awassa Youth Campus Circus. Many actors in the Circus assisted in the creation of the sculpture as well as youth from the community.

Thank you to John McKay and his wife Maggie for her patience as we made a racket, and to all the amazing workers and volunteers at Awassa Youth Campus.
