Mural at Awassa Negat Cokeb government school

This mural was completed in January 2013 over the course of two weeks with the help of American volunteers, and donations of art supplies from Dick Blick Inc., Nova Color Inc. and Golden Paints.
Students of all ages at Negat Cokeb, a poor government school, observed and participated.  The main artists were from the Awassa Youth Campus, an NGO started by a group from the University of Chicago to bring arts, sports, gymnastics, and other activities to the youth of Awassa.
Laptop computers and art supplies were also donated to the school.
