WIGUIWTB goes to BAJA!

Over Easter, WIGUIWTB spent four days in Baja California doing workshops at Casa De Paz and Rancho El Faro in Mexico's beautiful Valle De Guadelupe. How did WIGUIWTB end up in Baja? We found a great organization called Corazon de Vida Foundation www.corazondevida.org located in southern CA, which is devoted to helping children in orphanages in Baja. They invited us to do our workshops with kids in these two homes and here are some of the results. We did tissue paper collage, painting and drawing, india ink scratch and reveal works on canvas, and lots of clay animation. Each orphanage got a permanent art work to hang on their wall which will last for years to come. The children had a lot of fun and so did we.

We were there during the big earthquake and felt a small rumble as we were enjoying a delicious lunch of empanadas in a little Russo-Mexican restaurant in the valley, but were blissfully unaware of the media attention as we had no access TV or the internet.
